In business there is a rule that says that 80% of your business comes from 20% of your customers. This 80/20 rule also applies to many other areas as well. I use it as a reminder to eliminate clutter.
I'll bet that you are really only WEARING about 20% of the clothes you have hanging around in your closet. One good way to test this theory is to hook all your hangers backwards on the rod. Once you wear something turn the hook around the right way. After your own determined period of time, look at the results. Are you hoarding clothes you never use?

If so take some time this summer to clean out. I recently sent all these boxes to a local charity (plus one to a family member who was ticked for some "hand me downs"). You'll make someone else happy and you won't be brooding over the size "2" jeans from high school or the old formal that you wore to the prom. Remember the "good old days" in a photo and let the closet have a little more breathing room for something practical and pleasing that you can really benefit from!
