In my early years of marriage and motherhood I think I felt like money was in limited supply. Seemed like I had more time than money, so I clipped coupons to save pennies and watched for ads of great sales.

To solve that money crunch I discovered entrepreneurship. I found various businesses that I could run along side my motherhood responsibilities to produce additional income. There were direct selling companies that provided a little "fun money" as we called it. Later the "fun money" grew up and even included the use of fine company cars and auto insurance in addition to the income. One business paid for my children to have private schooling. Another one, years later, paid for college educations.

Fortunately, time has brought a positive shift in attitudes around women entrepreneurs. It has brought added respect for the mom who is running her own business. Some are home-based. Others are "brick and mortar", but whatever your passion there is probably a way you can turn it into a cash machine. What do you enjoy "found money" for in your family?
